Second Life - controlled by mind power
Managing your own avatar in Second Life could be done with mind power. At this moment, this is only a
dream but it might become true very soon all because of the researches done by some scientists from Keio University in Tokyo.
All of this is based on a system that controls the cerebral waves. At the moment, the project isn’t made for all of us, but its target is having fun in a new way. It would be great especially for persons with physical disabilities that could relive life in this virtual world.
The technology is based on thee electrodes placed on the head that are able to capture the cerebral impulses and send them to a device connected at a computer, device that renders the information in virtual movements.
Made in 2003 by the American company Linden Lab, Second Life is the most popular virtual game, being a true world in cyberspace that has more than 14 millions members.
